Klimt Danae Murano Glass Clock
Description
In Danaë (1907) Klimt shows the mythical princess curled asleep as Zeus reaches her as a shower of gold, one of the boldest works of the Vienna Secession.
Here the painting becomes a clock, fitted with its movement: a work of art that keeps time. Sheets of coloured Murano glass are cut by hand, composed piece by piece and fused in the kiln in Murano, so no two pieces are ever the same.

Size & care
Sizes are approximate: every piece is shaped by hand, so dimensions can vary by a few centimetres from one piece to the next.
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, clean gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive products, the dishwasher and sudden changes in temperature.
Shipping & returns
Timing depends on whether your piece is in stock. If it is, it leaves Italy as soon as it is packed. If it is not, we make it by hand for you: this takes from 2 to 6 weeks, the time the kilns and the handwork need. Either way, we will take care to get it to you as quickly as we can.
Every shipment is insured and tracked, worldwide. Full details on our shipping page and in our return policy.
