Capri Clock
Handmade in Murano · One of a kind
Capri Clock
Description
Capri and its Faraglioni, the great rocks that rise straight out of the sea. A path of pale stone winds down towards the water between banks of flowers, the sea lies in deep blue bands dotted with sails, and gulls drift in a soft sky.
Every colour is its own piece of glass. Made with the glass fusion technique: sheets of coloured Murano glass are cut by hand, composed piece by piece and fused in the kiln into a single panel, then fitted with its clock movement. Small glass tiles mark the hours. The outlines are drawn by hand and the smallest details are added grain by grain, so they stay raised on the surface.
Original Murano glass, made entirely by hand in Italy by master glassmakers: no two clocks are ever the same. A work of art that keeps time.
Material & craft
Murano glass, coloured with minerals and worked entirely by hand in Murano, Venice. Each sheet is cut, layered and fired in the kiln, piece by piece.
- Handmade in Murano, Italy
- Fused Murano glass
- One of a kind: colour, bubbles and texture are never twice the same
Size & care
Sizes are approximate: every piece is shaped by hand, so dimensions can vary by a few centimetres from one piece to the next.
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, clean gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive products, the dishwasher and sudden changes in temperature.
Shipping & returns
Timing depends on whether your piece is in stock. If it is, it leaves Italy as soon as it is packed. If it is not, we make it by hand for you: this takes from 2 to 6 weeks, the time the kilns and the handwork need. Either way, we will take care to get it to you as quickly as we can.
Every shipment is insured and tracked, worldwide. Full details on our shipping page and in our return policy.
