Venice San Marco Basilica Square Plate
Description
St Mark's Basilica, the heart of Venice. The façade rises in white and gold with its great arches, pointed gables and round domes, and the brick-red bell tower stands beside it. Above, the sky is layered in bands of blue. Below, the square is laid in pale grey stone.
Every colour is its own piece of glass. Made with the glass fusion technique: sheets of coloured Murano glass are cut by hand, composed piece by piece and fused in the kiln, where the plate also takes its gentle curve. The outlines are drawn by hand and the smallest details are added grain by grain, so they stay raised on the surface.
Original Murano glass, made entirely by hand in Italy by master glassmakers: no two plates are ever the same. Display it as a centrepiece, on a stand or on the wall.

- Handmade in Murano, Italy
- Fused Murano glass
- One of a kind: colour, bubbles and texture are never twice the same
Size & care
Sizes are approximate: every piece is shaped by hand, so dimensions can vary by a few centimetres from one piece to the next.
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, clean gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive products, the dishwasher and sudden changes in temperature.
Shipping & returns
Timing depends on whether your piece is in stock. If it is, it leaves Italy as soon as it is packed. If it is not, we make it by hand for you: this takes from 2 to 6 weeks, the time the kilns and the handwork need. Either way, we will take care to get it to you as quickly as we can.
Every shipment is insured and tracked, worldwide. Full details on our shipping page and in our return policy.
